API Features
Our API typically responds in under 200ms, with 99.9% uptime guarantee. We use global CDN and caching for optimal performance.
Our Vehicle Recall API lets you look up safety recalls by VIN or by make/model/year. It queries official NHTSA recall data in real-time, returning details such as the campaign number, affected component, summary, consequence, and recommended remedy.
Each recall result includes the NHTSA campaign number, affected component, a summary of the defect, potential consequences, the manufacturer's remedy, the report date, and the manufacturer name. Results are returned as a JSON array.
The Batch VIN Decode endpoint accepts up to 20 VINs in a single POST request. Each VIN is decoded using the official NHTSA DecodeVinValuesBatch endpoint, and results are returned as an array with individual success/failure status for each VIN.
You can decode up to 20 VINs per batch request. This limit ensures fast response times and reliable results. For larger volumes, you can make multiple batch requests in sequence.
